So here it goes- my attempt at "blogging" about stuff in my house. To be honest, I have no clue what I'm doing so bear with me! I recently posted a few pictures of my clean kitchen (which isn't so clean anymore due to meal-prepping today) and I had several of you or comment about different items. With that being said, I decided to just GO WITH IT and if life is leading me to write about my current kitchen vibes, then that's what I'm going to do. So here we go.....
First of all, this kitchen decorating urge basically happened because I was bored over our #7daysnowday situation last week. I'm from Indiana sooooo I can handle getting out in the snow, which worked to my advantage because NO ONE was out shopping. I decided I wanted to decorate this small-ish wall in-between our laundry room/garage door and pantry door. So I headed out to the only place that truly understands me.... HOBBY LOBBY.....AND EVERYTHING WAS ON SALE. YAY.
I should also say that I have been living by this motto since first moving into our new house--
"IF I LIKE IT, THEN IT GOES TOGETHER." That is (no joke) my decorating mantra. So, with that in mind, I started throwing stuff that I liked in the cart. Then (because no one else was at Hobby Lobby), I took over an entire aisle and started to lay things out to get a visual.
This was the first try-- I really wanted the "taste" sign to be center and everything else to go off that. Here is my second attempt:
So, at this point I decided on the Pantry, Taste, and EAT sign and realized I had the perfect basket and and a few other odds and ends at home to use to make the wall complete. After having Steven hang things up (and having him "move the eat sign over a little more" approximately 5 times), ladies and gentlemen, we have the final result:
Click below for links to most of the items on my wall!
Taste and See Sign
EAT metal sign: (from Hobby Lobby, but was not on their website)
Baked Pies Sign: Target Dollar Spot awhile ago
Cutting Board in basket
On to the rest of the kitchen!
Grey and White Striped Rug is from At Home store-- I looked online for it and couldn't find it, but I found another fringe rug, that I also really like! I layered an outdoor mat (because sometimes I'm "extra") on top, which came from Micahel's (also couldn't find it on their website-- I need to get better at my product stalking abilities, obviously) but I found a different floral option that I actually like better.... and now probably have to go get.... hmmmm
Metal Bar Stools
Fake glass containers (I guess that's also known as plastic.......)
And all of the stuff in this picture is from Target Dollar Spot-- I would tag it, but you guys know how hit-or-miss the TDS (Target Dollar Spot) can be.... so I'm just going to say "May the Odds be Ever in Your Favor" for finding these recent items!
